Surprise!

Well, I'm impressed, you guys got it right. Janelle was in the blue and Sarah is in the green. We may not have fooled you, but there were at least a few fooled on campus.

Lots of stuff has been going on in the last few weeks, so just a few pictures (alright...a lot of pictures) to give a hint of of my life...

Dad was out for a work course in Chiliwack a few weekends ago, so that was refreshing to see him and get some extra dad time in. Linds also was out visiting that weekend, so that was sweet. Kari, Linds and I had some fun and created a little mischief.

Jade surprised Han and I with a call one Sunday night asking if he could stop by to hang out...we figured he was in Alberta, but he was only a few hours away. So that was a sweet surprise to have the chance for the three of us hang out again.

There were also a few moments of pranking in the dorm. I toilet papered Kelsey's room before she got back from Spring Break, so that gave her a good laugh.

And some girls snuck into our room too when Han and I were out, they turned all my bed sheets inside out, attacked our Matt Damon poster, and left some more Matt pictures on our computer - definitely caused laughter.
Other exciting news was our big dorm week, all the girls dorms were battling against each other. The extravaganza was called SOJO (random name). This is our 4W dorm flag - 'We Eat'.
Some of the events were assassins, sock wars, a spa night, and 'leading ladies'. The last two weren't our dorm favorites, but here's a dressed up picture of most of the ladies one of the evenings.
During assassins (girls have girls names they have to 'kill' by splashing them with water), our girls went hardcore and switched disguises multiple times a day. So my closet was attacked a few times.
And thus!!! We won the dorm challenge and came in first place! We are more than stoked and pretty proud of the hardcore-ness of our dorm.
Derek Webb, an amazing musician, came to Trinity for a concert.
We were all pretty stoked to have him here, he's has some great songs. Here's Johannes and I with Derek.Lindy and Nicole (Kris and Billy's sisters) stayed with Han and I this weekend. So our room was a bit squished, but we had a blast getting to know the girls and basically making the room into a giant mattress.
And Darren visited while he was on his roadtrip home from Capernwray back to St. Albert. It was a ton of fun hanging out again.

We even went to a Canucks game! We won 4-1 against Detroit.

Phew, that's pretty much the end, sorry for the extended post. Now I must return to my desk, which is continually piling up with more books and assignments...will it ever end?! I'm thankful for the moments of fun that give my brain a break from the books, only a few weeks left of this madness. It's strange for me to think that my first year of university is almost done. Where did the time go? It still feels like a few days ago that I felt totally out of comfort here, and slowly I'm beginning to feel like this could be a place where I could settle in for a bit.

I'm continually being challenged in whether I'm making God my first priority or not, and I often fail. It's humbling to serve a God who is so faithful to stand with me, even when my eyes aren't fixed on Him. It seems lately that He keeps bringing me back to a place that I have to be completely relying on Him, and in some ways it's a scary place to be, not being 'in control', yet such a peaceful feeling, because I know that my life is much better off in His hands.

Hope all is well with those of you who read this.
Lots of love, Jen J

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Galatians 2:20
